Junior golf was the beginning of my dream, and during my quest to play on the PGA Tour, I am also initiating a new junior development program in an effort to help grow the game of golf.

Similar to youth baseball programs, I am developing “Little League Golf.” With a pilot launching in 2011 in Suburban Maryland, the league is designed for kids ages 6 to 12. The mission will be to provide youth with a positive introduction to the game, and the primary goals will be to offer beginning instruction in the fundamentals of golf as well as positive experiences with teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development. During the season, teams of six players and two volunteer parent coaches will practice one evening during the week and play a match on a six-hole modified junior course with another team on the weekend.

My hope is that Little League Golf will grow and provide an opportunity for boys and girls to have access to the game of golf and begin their own dreams.
