I am seeking additional sponsors to help fund the expenses of my quest to play on the PGA Tour.
Already, several organizations have come forward, including Prudential, CEO Club, Interactive Frontiers Software, OGIO, and SkyCaddie. I am also grateful to have the financial support of several individuals who have provided me with generous monetary gifts.
Of course, I am not seeking mega deals like Tiger Woods and other stars on the PGA Tour. Instead, my sponsorships are very affordable, and my sponsors are true partners in my quest.
While every arrangement is structured differently, sponsorships usually include a mix of the following investments:
• Financial support to help fund my expenses
• In-kind product and services that I utilize in my quest
• Marketing and public relations support
• Charitable contribution to benefit my golf development programs
In return, I provide sponsors with the following benefits:
• Brand identification and visibility
• Personal appearances and exhibitions performed by me at golf outings, events, and trade shows
• Links on my blog
• My testimonials for use in advertising, marketing, and promotions
• Media coverage
I will also be introducing additional programs for organizations and individuals to support and become part of my quest.
I really appreciate the support and feedback that I have received since launching my quest on January 1, and I welcome comments below if you have general thoughts or ideas about sponsorships. If you wish to inquire about specific sponsorship opportunities, please contact me directly at Info (at) PhilBundy (dot) com.
Until next time, enjoy golf, America!

Hey, Phil… (as in the Southern “hey” = “hi”),
What does it take these days to play the Tour financially? I know you have to fund your expenses on Tour, and fund your family at home (and your family with you when on Tour). It’s a bundle, I’m sure. How will you travel? Mostly by air? Drive sometimes? Do a lot of the players have RVs?
I’m just wondering how different it is from when we were with the Tour.
We had three sponsors over the ten years on Tour, plus one year on the first mini-tour in Tampa in 1972-73. In fact — I’ll be writing about that mini-tour in my next blog post.
And writing about the three sponsors…. God rest two of their souls (1st and 2nd). The last was a limited partnership. That’s the one that got embezzled by a non-contributing ($$) member. And caused TJ to end his playing career.
So, best of luck and keep us posted. Be careful.
I admire your business approach!
