Kodak EasyShare V1253

Last month, I told you about my Nikon D90. While I am utilizing some sophisticated equipment for photography and video, our entire family uses the Kodak EasyShare V1253 for candid photos and video clips.

At 4 x 2.2 x 0.9 inches and 5.5 ounces, the V1253 is the size and weight of a pack of playing cards and has so many incredible features:

• 12 megapixel for stunning photo-quality, poster-size prints
• 3x optical zoom lens
• True HD quality video with stereo sound
• Digital image stabilization
• Face detection technology
• 3.1 inch, 16:9 high resolution LCD display
• 32MB built-in memory with additional SD/SDHC memory card slot
• Li-Ion rechargeable battery

With recharging capability via USB, the Li-Ion battery is long lasting and eliminates the need for replacing AA or AAA batteries. I use a 4MB SD card for easy storage and transfer of photo and video files. The large, high resolution display is a treat, allowing dynamic photo and video review. The camera also includes software that offer advanced photo sharing and printing capabilities.

With all of its high tech capability, my wife and young son use the V1253 with ease. Donna loves the compact size that she can take anywhere, and Charlie is exploring the art of photography, taking pictures of anything and everything with the durable camera design. I even gave the V1253 as gifts to my mom and my mother-in-law.

Do you have a favorite family camera? And if you have a special golf photo, please submit, and I will post the best shot here.

Until next time, enjoy golf, America!
